NUST SCHOLARSHIP FOR AFRICAN NATIVES

  • Eligibility: Students and researchers from African Nations applying through the Embassy of Pakistan in Zimbabwe for full-time degree programs at the UG, MS, or PhD levels, or for research/teaching opportunities at NUST.
1. Opportunities for Researchers:
    • Number of Positions:
      • 5 positions: For inbound senior researchers engaged in teaching or research.
    • Benefits:
      • Senior researchers: Stipend based on skill and experience, while being responsible for airfare, accommodation, messing, and other associated costs.
2.  Opportunities for Students:

     a. Full Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarship:

    • Number of Scholarships:
        • 2 for MS programs 
        • 3 for PhD programs
    • Benefits:
        • Full tuition fee waiver.
        • PhD students are eligible for the NUST PhD fellowship program, which provides a stipend to scholars.
        • Subsidized on-campus accommodation and messing facilities.

 Students must cover all other associated costs admission processing fee, airfare, hostel rent and messing charges during their stay at NUST* 

      b. Fee Remission Scholarship:

    • Number of Scholarships:
        • 3 for UG programs (Except MBBS)
        • 5 for MS and 5 for PhD programs
        • 5 for PhD programs
    • Benefits:
        • Tuition fee remission equivalent to that for Pakistani citizens.
        • PhD students qualify for the NUST PhD fellowship program, which includes a stipend for scholars.
        • Subsidized on-campus accommodation and messing facilities.

3. Application Process and Deadlines:

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must include a 300-400-word personal statement in their admission application at https://intl-admission.nust.edu.pk/ and select the relevant option in the online application indicating their desire for admission consideration on a scholarship basis.

  3. This statement should emphasize their motivation for pursuing the chosen program, career objectives, the impact of the scholarship on their academic and professional journey, and showcase leadership skills, projects, or community service involvement during their studies.
  4. The Scholarship Application Review Committee will evaluate scholarship applications, considering factors such as academic performance, diversity, inclusivity, and long-term impact on scholarship recipients, financial need, career objectives, leadership qualities, and community service.
